Slept in, and tried to figure out a slackpack as we listened to the heavy rain in the morning. We wanted to wait around untill 10am to see of our package would come in with the outfitter mail. It did not unfortunately.
We did setup a slackpack shuttle for 6 of us and got on the trail a few minutes before noon. Shortly into the hike we came across a Trail Angel named Apple. He had a large camping tent setup with a cooler and hot dog maker, chairs….etc. it was great. That was an excellent lunch. Thanks Apple!
Nice trail for most of the miles today, and we were able to go pretty fast while it was still light. We finished the day in the dark. Seems to be clearing up tonight….and the storming done.
