Luckily we didn’t have any rain last night. It is always nicer to pack up our tarps when they are dry. When they’re wet, we usually just roll the tarp into a ball and stuff it in the pocket on the outside of our packs.
We headed out at 6:30am with thoughts of town food in our minds. Even though it was pretty warm when we got up, it got colder as the morning went on and got foggier. Eventually it started to rain, but luckily didn’t last even an hour.
As we got closer to town, we started to see quite a few day hikers. We met a few Europeans who live in Seattle and who were very excited to meet some PCT hikers. It was pretty funny to see their reactions to us.
We made it into Snoqualmie Pass by 12:30. We were out of food, so we were glad to make it in by lunch. We were all starving, so we went straight to the restaurant at the motel. There were already ten or so PCT hikers in the restaurant eating. It was one of the first times we came into town and actually recognized all the other hikers.
We are excited for a day off here before heading back to the trail. Gazelle should be coming into town tomorrow morning, so it will be great to see her again.
