Sep 19 – Into Windsor Rock

Another beautiful day in PA. Warmer last night, which made it much easier to get up and going earlier this am.

Hiking was pretty easy today as it was largely on woods roads.

We stopped for a long break for our 2nd breakfast at a nice overlook called Dan’s Pulpit. In the afternoon, we stopped by the Eckville Shelter just to check it out. It was really nice with a shower and a bunkrooom. We hung out long enough to charge the phone a bit and get caught up on the last four days’ journal entries.

Got into camp at about 4:30 and were joined just a bit later by Kennedy, another southbound hiker that has been with us at the last few shelters. A northbound section hiker named Joel showed up a bit later as well.

Both Beardo’s and Sweet Pea’s bodies felt pretty good today.
