Had some good rain last night that continued into the morning. Packed up and started the day hiking in the rain as well.
We had just a short day planned as we were picking up a maildrop in Port Clinton and planned to stay somewhere with a bed/shower and hopefully do laundry. This has been the longest stretch that we have had without either.
On the way in, Sweet Pea fell and banged up her leg on the rocks. It was bleeding in three different spots and she got a goose egg on one of the spots 🙁
Things brightened up once we arrived in Port Clinton. The postmaster was a wealth of knowledge about the area and it was easy to see that he enjoyed the interactions with hikers. Once we were done sorting out our food and had packed up, he gave us a ride into the neighboring town to a motel, which was a couple miles away.
There is a Cabelas store near the motel, so we walked in and checked it out. The pictures are from the interaction with the local wildlife.
The stop in town was a good refresher as we got in our fill of town food, got laundry done and relaxed in the room.
