Foggy start to the day. Quite rocky and slippery as well, which made our predawn start not as enjoyable as usual.
Rained lightly most of the day. Enough for us to get wet and need our rain gear. Beardo debuted his rainpants that he had found in the hiker box at the last shelter (a hiker box is a box where other thru-hikers put food, clothes or other gear that they no longer want).
The day had some long gradual climbs which was nice as it is cold.
Only saw one other hiker the whole day.
We stopped early today as Sweet Pea was not feeling good. Got to a shelter around 2 and called it a day. Beardo made a fire and took care of that for the remainder of the day while Sweet Pea rested. He burned a hole in his rainpants at the fire.
Alone at shelter tonight. Not sure where the other guys are. Very cold. Zipped sleep bags together to try to stay warm.
