Somewhat lazy start to the day. Came across a stream early on and did some laundry, head shaving, foot soaking and washing.
Much of the walking was downhill. We were coming down out of the mountains into the town in the valley and passed through some fields as well as walked close to the interstate. It was a steady downhill that was gradual enough that it wasn’t hard on our knees.
Quiet trail day in that we did not see any other hikers untill we saw Right Click walking back into the woods as he finished up his town stop.
Mexican food was nearby the trail and that sounded good to both of us. It was great food at the Ranchero Viejo and was served quickly. While we were there, we got a text from Mace saying that he would make it into town in the evening and stay at a motel. And we got an email from Carnivore and Purple saying the same, so we went and got a room at the motel as well.
We went to the outfitter and dealt with some shoe issues that Beardo had been having and got a few supplies. Also augmented some of our food since we had pitched a bunch of the expired food from the grocery store from the day before.
Ended the day with a nice out to eat meal with Purple, Carnivore, their friend Pam, and Mace at a BBQ place not too far from the motel.
