Short day down to Andover to resupply. Was a reasonable downhill most of the way.
Beardoh saw a deer shortly into the walk. The doe was about 20 yards off the trail and bolted another 50 yards when it heard the footsteps. The odd thing is that neither of us have seen deer droppings on the trail yet. Moose droppings appear every 50 feet in many areas. No moose sightings yet, though Beardoh heard one on arriving at the campsite a couple days ago.
Met some trail maintainers who were taking break. We have run into to quite a few groups of them here. They are volunteers and come in all ages and from all over the world.
Hung out for a little over an hour and then our shuttle from the Pine Ellis Hostel came.
Once at the hostel, we did laundry and hit the diner for some calories. It was a warm sunny day in small town Maine and it was nice to stroll to the general store and get ice cream in the evening.
