Was a cool night, but I stayed warm in the hammock. I put up the rain tarp for warmth and wind protection and believe it helped.
Day started with a decent climb. Walked by lots of ponds and small lakes in the am as we made the climb. Cold enough to wear hat, gloves and long sleeve shirt for the morning.
After lunch we had a bigger climb which got us walking on the upper slopes of a ridge that gave great views of Mt Rainier. It looks gigantic from where we were walking. Pretty neat to have that mountain as the backdrop for most of what’s visible for a couple hours.
Took most breaks and lunch with Analog, Moonshine, and my normal crew. Cooked dinner tonight on a quickie fire…had Ramen with a cheese stick mixed in. The hot dinners are hitting the spot in these chilly sections.
