Foggy untill late morning today. Quite short visibility and just generally dark all day. A little after noon it started raining and it rained really heavily, flash flood like, for a while. The trail became soup in a hurry. We got to hike in dry shoes for half a day.
Had 18 miles in by around 3 o’clock, and arrived at the Peter’s Mountain shelter where Splake, Sponge and Happy Pappy were hanging out. There is another shelter in six and a half miles, but we decided to stay at this one since it was raining heavy and it was large enough to put up our hammocks inside.
Had a nice afternoon and evening talking with Happy Pappy. His wife had made some of his gear and he was good company.
No photos for the day as the weather didn’t really allow for the camera to be out of the ziploc. 🙁
