We’ll, we weren’t done with the rain yet…it rained pretty good overnight. That meant we would be soaked as we walked down the trail.
The trail went from one extreme to another today…from totally overgrown, where we were pushing our way through plants taller than SweetPea – to an open trail wide enough to drive a car down.
Even though we were wet, the sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It felt so good to have the sun shining on us again. The temps were in the 50’s which was pretty comfortable for walking.
We got into East Glacier just after 11am and headed to the place where we had reserved two cabins. The village is much less alive than we had expected…a couple small stores that also have pizza and sandwiches and not much else open now. That is probably enough to satisfy us…we expect the crowds to be more visible when we get to our final two trail towns in the national park.
